Resources |  Coastal Flora and Fauna

Both plants and animals are integral parts of our ecosystem.

We have considerable experience identifying coastal plants and recommending appropriate plants native to our environment. We have produced a number of planting guides and articles on the subject.  We also are very experienced with invasive species management, specifically the Phragmites australis.

The LHCCC manages programs specific to the protection and management of the habitat for wild life. We collect data and provide information related to coastal animals, specifically species at risk.   We do on the ground restoration work to improve habitat for these species.
