The Future
The Coastal Centre embarks on an exciting mission. The success of the Centre will depend on the interest and commitment of the diverse coastal community. To ensure that the Centre remains focused on the issues that matter along Lake Huron, the Centre will endeavour to update this plan at least every five years.
The Centre will follow this Strategic Plan with a Marketing and Fundraising Plan that will identify funding sources and methods to develop and maintain sustainable funding to ensure that the Centre can advance its vision and mission for Lake Huron.
In addition, the Centre will develop a Governance Plan that will help the Board of Directors to grow, maintain its geographic representation and to ensure that it is able to function effectively.
The Centre faces Lake Huron’s environmental challenges with optimism, and with confidence that this plan will help the Centre to provide leadership in making improvements in ecosystem health and in people’s relationship with our coast.
