Strategic Planning Steps

Under the direction of the Centre’s Board of Directors, funding was sought for the development of a collaborative strategy for the future. A Strategy framework was developed that included the development of the following products:

  • Vision Statement

  • Mission Statement

  • Program Priorities

  • Program Delivery Priorities

  • Targets

  • Actions

A list of criteria was developed to help facilitate group decision-making. The Plan would have to:

  1. Be positive for the Lake Huron coastal environment

  2. Meet the needs of the community partners

  3. Be practical to implement (resources, funding)
