Here's what we've been up to this year ...
|
The State of the Lakes Ecosystem Conference is hosted by the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency and Environment Canada on behalf of the two Countries every two. The conferences are intended to provide a forum for exchange of information on the ecological condition of the Great Lakes and surrounding lands. At each conference, agencies, organizations and individuals are recognized for outstanding environmental work within the Great Lakes. This year, the Lake Huron Centre for Coastal Conservation was honoured by receiving the SOLEC "Success Story" award. The award was presented by the Consuls General for Canada and the United States. The award was presented "for the exceptional performance and dedication to improving the Great Lakes". |
